I leave a quote and link from a previous indymedia article I posted as you can see from a google search,'katsav bribes prostitute offshore account',or my cynical attempt at humorous title,Israeli President Moshe Katsav,An Orthodox Who ? A Semitic What ?' . The aljazeeera.com article is titled, 'After defeat in Lebanon: Scandals hit Israel' ,and is dated,8/21/2006 5:47:00 PM GMT at least 5 or 6 days after my indymedia article and basically quotes my cynical remark about Israeli President Moshe Katsav verbatim !
Do google search 'katsav bribes prostitute offshore account' to compare my statement and the date it was published on the indymedias or simply compare it for yourself here below, first my article,(written before aljazeera states,'At least one of the so far unidentified women goes on to state that Katsav has taken bribes for granting presidential pardons and that he has an offshore accountnumber where he collects bribes for his services .These claims make him appear to be more of a political prostitute and hypocrite rather than the morally upright ' Orthodox ' Jew he pretends to be !...' - Tony Ryals
Then days later an aljazeera article states,'Sex allegations against President Katsav haven’t led to charges or even a police investigation, but threaten to make him appear more of a political prostitute and hypocrite rather than the morally upright ' Orthodox ' the Jews believe him to be.....' - Al Jazeera
Hmmm, seems more like plagiarism than coincidence to me.

My thoughgts of Al Jazeera and U.S.-UAE ties

The article below from Al Jazeeera is actually a Reuters article but discusses the effect of a recent Saudi stock crash on middle class Saudis and Arabs or others who 'invested'.
This mess also begs the question of how the George W Bush regime can lie about the openess or transparency of his clients states' economys such as Bush's assurances about those of the UAE when he wanted to sell them our U.S. ports, when obviously so much 'wild west' speculation is going on their.
And Al Jazeera who does appear to have plagiarized my statement re Mosh Katsav should perhaps itself consider investigating U.S. and Bush regime financial activities in Saudi Arabia,Kuwait, and Dubai and the UAE in general.
After all my complaints about Israeli President Moshe Katsav have everything to do with his involvement in a U.S. penny stock scam,UCSY or Universal Communications Systems,a fraud involving a British Israeli Michael Zwebner,a Palestinian-American Mohamid Hadid connected to a suspect Islamic charity out of Herndon,Virginia and of course Moshe Katsav himself.
However we find further that Al Ali Al Sabah of the Kuwait National Guard and Kuwait royalty has been involved in a Titan Corp(torturers at Abu Ghraib),Jeb Bush, Tom DeLay and U.S. Republican party scam called Skyway Communications that stole up to $40 million from investors and a DC-9 bought from that fraud has been caught in Mexico with over 5.5 tons of cocaine onboard ! That fraud alone can be traced back to Huffman Aviation of Venice,Florida owned by a Jeb Bush pal, Wally Hilliard ! Royal Sons a holding company in business with Skyway Communications once gave its address as Huffman Aviation of Venice, Floriada !
Also a Mr.Makram Majeed Chams a Lebanese who resided in Venice,Florida and who befriended Mr.Mohamed Atta in Venice emigrated to Saudi Arabia immediately after 9/11 and has been suing his former employer Titan Corp of San Diego CALIFORNIA FROM THERE !
So it it Al Jazeeera that would be better to get off its duff and instead of plagiarise me on internet, interview me or better yet find the office of Bellador Group in Dubai and interview their Mr.Taylor or whoever there ! Or find the whereabouts of Makram Maheed Chams and ask him his relations with Mohamed Atta as well as with Titan Corporation !
Check out Americans I can name and their U.S. Saudi etc. penny stock frauds there.Ask Kuwait National Guard head Al Al i Al Sabah why he is investing in penny stock scams of far right Israeli Michael Farkas ? Yes Al Jazeera stop plagiarising me and get the stories there in and on your turf. The world wasnts to know !
What does Al Ali Al Sabah have to say about that ? What does Al Jazeera have to say about that ?
And Bellador Group that ripped me off in a Stanford University Endovasc and James Dale Davidson of Agora Inc and U.S. National Taxpayes Union(very influencial in Washington,D.C.) ripped me off with their operation in Kuala Lumpur and Dubai and Al Jazeera has never investigated the use of UY.S. penny stocks far fraud and possible money laundering or terrorism in te Middle East. Why not ?
So it appears that the U.S. dominated Saudi and UAE and Kuwait society is also the most corrupt in terms of stock frauds that steal not only from common Saudis and Arabs but also U.S. stock scams and frauds are being run out of there as well, probably with money laundering as a chief or main objective ! So Al Jazeera should stop plagiarizing me when the phrase fits,i.e.-a bitiing critique of Katsav and look within because everything I am saying about Katsav in terms of fraud and corruption applies to the upper or ruling classes that rules over the Saudi,Kuwaiti,UAE sphere that is trully in bed not with America but with the far right W Bush regime and its penny stock frauds, petroleum trafficking and probable drug trafficking and money laundering !

Saudi Arabia faces vast inequalities of wealth Related: Thirsty China looks to Saudi oil deals Five held over Saudi oil attack Riyadh pledges moderate oil policy

An attempt to spread Saudi Arabia's oil wealth through mass share ownership has ended in tears for many ordinary Saudis after a stock market crash.
It was meant to be Saudi Arabia's bold effort at fairly distributing the vast wealth of another oil boom.
But hundreds of thousands have had their fingers burnt in a stock market crash since February that has sheared 40% from the value of the Arab world's largest bourse.
In the past three years, up to nine million Saudis, or half the population, have started playing the market in the conservative desert state, whose strict brand of Islam outlaws standard forms of gambling.
They were encouraged by a government which hoped the bourse would enable citizens to share in the economic boom that has come with a rise in world oil prices not seen since the 1970s. It hoped that would help to iron out some of the country's huge disparities of wealth.
Heavy losses
Now they are hesitant to return to the market and many say that Saudi Arabia's ultra-rich have abused an initiative intended to help the less well-off.
"I know many who gave up working just so they could give all their time to playing the bourse"
Azza al-Mihdar, sociologist
Abdullah, a photographer who lost 400,000 riyals ($107,000) since investing five months ago, said: "The psychology has changed. Now no one is interested in the market, no one is going to put their money back there so easily."
Hoping to buy himself a fancy villa, Abdullah borrowed money from a bank and then added some of his wife's savings to his own, before placing 500,000 riyals ($133,000) in last year's boom market.
"The market regulator is to blame. It should not have allowed the market to go up so far and to let these people manipulate it at will," he said.
"Ordinary folks like me lost, and what fault is it of ours?"
The government and its Capital Markets Authority (CMA) have blamed the crash on wealthy, sophisticated speculators who drove prices to record levels over the past year, then pulled out of the market when the CMA tried to impose order.
Before, the media raved about teachers and pupils skipping class to track their stock options and mind their portfolios.
Now, they relate tales of bankruptcy, reclaimed houses and heart attacks in trading rooms.
Sociologist Azza al-Mihdar said: "It has been incredibly negative. Marital relations have been hurt, people have neglected their jobs.
"I know many who gave up working just so they could give all their time to playing the bourse."
'Cold-hearted robbery'
In an authoritarian state with no tolerance of public protest or room for political expression, thousands of Saudis have turned to internet chatrooms to vent their anger.
King Abdullah has ordered oil prices slashed
Columnist Khalid al-Majid, on one website this week, said: "What started as a correction ended as a major theft of defenceless people by a mafia committing cold-hearted robbery.
"The stock market is creating a rupture in society that will not be easily fixed. We are a people heading for poverty. What do we imagine our situation will be when this boom is over?" he said.
Though there has been no danger to the country's wider economic health, the government has had to be seen as acting to counter the deep sense of injustice.
K ing Abdullah, whose media persona is of a modernising father figure, issued a decree on Sunday cutting domestic fuel prices by 30%. The CMA has pledged to "out" speculators and revolutionise the market information flow.
Thegovernment says its project to involve as many as possible in ownership of national firms is still on track.
Abdullah Shamasi, editor of the economic magazine al-Eqtisadiah, said: "It's still alive and the state is still encouraging citizens into the market.
"Even the 'professional investors' lost millions of riyals. We can't say that the speculators gained and the small guy lost. Everyone lost."
Paying the price
For one cleric, though, some Saudis are paying the price for having let greed eclipse their devotion to God.
Shaikh Ayidh al-Garni was quoted this week as saying at a lecture, "It's shameful that some good Muslims became so preoccupied with commerce and shares that they missed daily prayers and would only open the Quran once a week on a Friday."
Yet al-Garni, one of Saudi Arabia's most influential shaikhs, was careful to give his blessing to entering the bourse.
"Show me the way to market!" he said, citing a saying by a companion of the Prophet Muhammad.

Al Jazeera propaganda media for international far right - W Bush Regime ?
Al Jazeera History Al Jazeera claims to be the only politically independent television station in the Middle East. It now rivals the BBC in worldwide audiences with an estimated 50 million viewers. Al Jazeera was started with a US$150 million grant from the emir of Qatar. It aimed to become self-sufficient through advertising by 2001, but when this failed to occur, the emir agreed to continue subsidizing it on a year-by-year basis (US$30 million in 2004,[1] according to Arnaud de Borchgrave). Other major sources of income include advertising, cable subscription fees, broadcasting deals with other companies, and sale of footage (according to Pravda,[2] "Al Jazeera received $20,000 per minute for Bin Laden's speech".) In 2000, advertising accounted for 40% of the station's revenue.[3]
The channel began broadcasting in late 1996. In April of that year, BBC World Service's Arabic language TV station, faced with censorship demands by the Saudi Arabian government, had shut down after two years of operation. Many former BBC World Service staff members joined Al Jazeera.
In the beginning, Al Jazeera tried to increase its viewership by means of presenting controversial views regarding the governments of many Gulf states, including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar; Syria's relationship with Lebanon; and the Egyptian judiciary. Its well-presented documentary on the Lebanese Civil War in 2000-2001 gave its viewer ratings a boost. However, it wasn't until late 2001 that Al Jazeera achieved worldwide popularity when it broadcast video statements by al-Qaeda leaders.
In response to Al Jazeera, a group of Saudi investors created Al Arabiya in the first quarter of 2003.
[edit] Al Jazeera outside the Middle East On July 4, 2005 Al Jazeera officially announced plans to launch a new English-language satellite service called Al Jazeera International.[4] Highly protested by many Americans, organized campaigns surfaced against Al Jazeera's efforts to establish the planned English language network in the United States, protests lead by groups such as the United American Committee. The controversy over Al Jazeera's establishment in North America has been dubbed "Jazeeragate" by protesting groups,[5] Al Jazeera has announced this long-expected move in an attempt to provide news about the Arab world, especially Israel, from the Middle Eastern perspective. The new channel will have broadcast centers in Doha (current Al Jazeera headquarters and broadcast center), Athens, London, Kuala Lumpur and Washington D.C., when the station launches. The channel will be a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week news channel with 12 hours broadcasted from Doha and four hours from each of London, Kuala Lumpur, and Washington D.C.
In September 2005, Josh Rushing joined Al Jazeera International. He was the press officer for the United States Central Command during the 2003 Invasion of Iraq, and in that role was featured in the documentary "Control Room." Rushing will be working from the Washington, DC Bureau. He commented that "In a time when American media has become so nationalized, I'm excited about joining an organization that truly wants to be a source of global information..."[6] Former CNN and BBC news anchorwoman and award winning journalist Veronica Pedrosa and veteran UK broadcaster David Frost have also joined the team, along with Riz Khan, a former CNN news anchor
Qatar History
http://www.nationsencyclopedia.com/Asia-and-Oceania/Qatar-HISTORY.html
On 22 February 1972, Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad al-Thani, the deputy emir and prime minister, seized power in a peaceful coup, deposing his cousin, Sheikh Ahmad. Since his accession, Sheikh Khalifa pursued a vigorous program of economic and social reforms, including the transfer of royal income to the state. On 31 May 1977, Sheikh Khalifa appointed Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, his son, as heir apparent and minister of defense.
In 1981, Qatar, along with the other Persian Gulf states of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Sa'udi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, established the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The GCC attempted to mediate the war between Iran and Iraq, which had erupted in September 1980, but at the same time gave support to Iraq. Qatar's boundary disputes with Bahrain disrupted relations between the two countries in the mid-1980s. In 1991, they agreed to refer their dispute over the Hawar Islands to the International Court of Justice at The Hague. In 1992, there was a minor clash between Qatari and Sa'udi troops over a disputed border. That quarrel was resolved with a boundary agreement signed in Cairo in December 1992.
Qatari forces, although small in size, are active in the collective defense of the GCC and played a helpful role on the allied side in the Gulf War against Iraq.
In 1995, Sheikh Hamad seized power from his father amid a turbulent and secretive attempted coup in February of that year by unknown forces. Sheikh Khalifa, the aging ruler, had spent much of his time before being ousted sailing the Mediterranean on the royal yacht. Also a problem was the aging emir's eccentric method of funding the government, which was to siphon off half of the revenue generated from the country's oil into his personal bank accounts, and pay for government services from those funds. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, the emir felt less inclined to withdraw money than to deposit, and the resulting revenue drain was crippling the economy. When Sheikh Hamad took control of the government, while his father was away on business, the now former emir froze his personal bank accounts, which held, essentially, Qatar's treasury. Estimates of Sheikh Khalifa's personal accounts range from $4–$30 billion.
In 1996, the former emir set up a government in exile in the United Arab Emirates. The hostile transfer of power led to friction among the normally contention-free members of the GCC. Also that year, Sheikh Hamad issued writs demanding that his father turn over control of his assets to the state. Initially, the emir had resigned himself to the loss of revenue, but severe budget constraints caused him to cut government spending and, in order to develop the huge off-shore natural gas reserves the country will rely on in the future, huge infrastructure expenses needed to be made.
In 1999, the former emir still claimed to be the legitimate ruler of Qatar, and his allies within the ruling elite were still a source of problems for Sheikh Hamad. However, Sheikh Hamad has
LOCATION: 26°23′ to 24°31′ N; 50°43′ to 51°41′ E. BOUNDARY LENGTHS: Persian Gulf coastline, 563 kilometers (350 miles); United Arab Emirates, 45 kilometers (28 miles); Sa'udi Arabia, 60 kilometers (38 miles). TERRITORIAL SEA LIMIT: 3 miles.
continued to rule and implement change in spite of outside threats.
In 1999, Qatar supported the Organization of Oil Exporting Countries (OPEC) efforts to increase oil prices by cutting back crude oil production from March 1999 to April 2000. Qatar was also practicing fiscal discipline and creating low-cost efficiencies. The government was developing a tariff structure with a monthly ceiling on water and electricity services, previously free of charge. In addition, plans were in the works to implement a foreign investment code in agriculture, industry, tourism, and education ventures.
Perhaps most striking, Sheikh Hamad was encouraging political openness. In 1999, women voted and ran for office in municipal elections for the first time. A constitutional committee was charged with drawing up a permanent constitution under which Qatar would have an elected parliament. Political openness was even extended to the media as Qatar's satellite news channel, Al Jazeera, broke a previous taboo with an open discussion and criticism of the state funding of the ruling family.
On 16 March 2001, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) resolved a territorial dispute between Bahrain and Qatar over the potential oil-and gas-rich Hawar Islands. The islands were controlled by Bahrain since the 1930s but were claimed by Qatar. Bahrain also claimed the town of Zubarah, which is on the mainland of Qatar. The dispute has lasted for decades and almost brought the two nations to the brink of war in 1986. In its judgment, the ICJ drew a single maritime boundary in the Gulf of Bahrain, delineating Bahrain and Qatar's territorial waters and sovereignty over the disputed islands within. The ICJ awarded Bahrain the largest disputed islands, the Hawar Islands, and Qit'at Jaradah Island. Qatar was given sovereignty over Janan Island and the low-tide elevation of Fasht ad Dibal. The Court reaffirmed Qatari sovereignty over the Zubarah Strip.
During 2002 and into 2003, Qatar, along with the other countries of the Persian Gulf, were confronted with the situation of a potential US-led war with Iraq. On 8 November 2002, the UN Security Council unanimously passed Resolution 1441, calling on Iraq to immediately disarm itself of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and WMD weapons capabilities, to allow the immediate return of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and UN weapons inspectors, and to comply with all previous UN resolutions regarding the country since the end of the Gulf War in 1991. If Iraq was found to be in "material breach" of the resolution, "serious consequences" were to result. The United States and the United Kingdom began amassing troops in the region, and by the end of February 2003, the number of troops in the Persian Gulf was approximately 200,000. As of 1 February, there were approximately 3,500 US military personnel in Qatar. In December 2002, a computer-assisted exercise entitled "Internal Look" was carried out in Qatar, involving approximately 1,000 military planners and a mobile command center, which would eventually be staffed by 1,600 US and UK troops. As of March 2003, an aerial command-and-control center was being constructed at Al Udeid, in the event that US forces could not use their control center in Sa'udi Arabia. The Al Udeid air base has the longest runway in the Gulf region (approximately 5,000 m/15,000 ft), and can accommodate nearly 100 aircraft. Operating at Al Udeid in early 2003 was air-to-air refueling of tanker aircraft in support of US-led forces in Afghanistan and to patrol Iraq's southern no-fly zone in the aftermath of the 1991 Persian Gulf War. In December 2002, the United States and Qatar signed a bilateral defense agreement that US Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld stated was not connected to Iraq.
However, Qatar has said it would not act in a conflict with Iraq without UN approval. At an Arab League summit held at Sharm el-Sheik, Egypt, on 1 March, sharp divisions between Arab leaders on the Iraq situation emerged, particularly between Libya and Sa'udi Arabia. However, the leaders issued a declaration expressing "complete rejection of any aggression on Iraq," and called for continuing UN weapons inspections. It also called upon Iraq to disarm itself of WMD and the missiles needed to deliver them. At the summit, some leaders argued war was inevitable and that the countries of the region should prepare for its aftermath; some argued that war could be avoided if Iraq were to comply with weapons inspections; and a third group argued that the summit should issue an unequivocal anti-war declaration.

For the satellite television channel, see Al Jazeera. Aljazeera.com is an English language website that publishes news and opinion pieces of an inflammatory nature in the Middle East. The site is operated by Aljazeera Publishing, described as an "independent media organisation" that presents "facts as they happen". It should not be confused with the well-known Arabic satellite TV channel Al Jazeera (in Arabia there are thousands of organizations named Aljazeera, a public word which has been used for centuries).

Senate: Saddam saw al-Qaida as threat
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060908/ap_on_go_co/iraq_report
By JIM ABRAMS, Associated Press Writer 59 minutes ago
WASHINGTON - Saddam Hussein regarded al-Qaida as a threat rather than a possible ally, a Senate report says, contradicting assertions President Bush has used to build support for the war in Iraq.
ADVERTISEMENT Released Friday, the report discloses for the first time an October 2005 CIA assessment that before the war, Saddam's government "did not have a relationship, harbor or turn a blind eye toward" al-Qaida operative Abu Musab al-Zarqawi or his associates.
Saddam told U.S. officials after his capture that he had not cooperated with Osama bin Laden even though he acknowledged that officials in his government had met with the al-Qaida leader, according to FBI summaries cited in the Senate report.
"Saddam only expressed negative sentiments about bin Laden," Tariq Aziz, the Iraqi leader's top aide, told the FBI.
The report also faults intelligence gathering in the lead-up to the 2003 invasion.
As recently as an Aug. 21 news conference, Bush said people should "imagine a world in which you had Saddam Hussein" with the capacity to make weapons of mass destruction and "who had relations with Zarqawi."
Democrats contended that the administration continues to use faulty intelligence, including assertions of a link between Saddam's government and the recently killed al-Zarqawi, to justify the war in Iraq..............................................

Al-Jazeera in legal dispute over website name Wednesday November 23rd 2005, 10:42 am Filed under: Online news Aljazeera.net is the official site of the Qatar-based television company. But there is also aljazeera.com, an English-language website operated by the Aljazeera Publishing of Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, and London. In March the Qatar channel filed a complaint at the World Intellectual Property Arbitration and Mediation Centre in Geneva requesting that the Dubai/London-based site stop using the same domain name, and charging the other company with breach of copyright and ‘bad faith’. But the panel ruling questioned Al-Jazeera’s claim that it had only ‘recently’ become aware of the existence of aljazeera.com, and said that in continuing to use aljazeera.com as its e-mailing address for its correspondents had not acted in good faith. Al-Jazeera confirmed in Doha that the network had lost the case, and was now considering its next step, probably an appeal. News sources in Doha said that Al-Jazeera is challenging the rival website now because it plans to launch its own exclusively English-language news and commentary channel, Al-Jazeera International, next year and would like to have a clear field for its new news venture.
