On Saturday March 20, the anniversary of the U.S. invasion of
Iraq, the peace movement is mobilizing nationwide to call for an end to
U.S. policies of war and occupation.

On Saturday March 20, the anniversary of the U.S. invasion of
Iraq, the peace movement is mobilizing nationwide to call for an end to
U.S. policies of war and occupation. In Salt Lake City people will gather
at the State Capitol for a 12:00 noon march downtown culminating in a
rally at the City-County Building at 2:00 p.m. Solemn respects for the
dead and injured in Iraq will be paid as marchers pass by the Federal
Building.
There will be music and poetry at the State Capitol beginning at
11:30 a.m. and also at the 2:00 p.m. rally. Aaron Davis of Military
Families Speak Out who has two sons in the army in Iraq, East High School
student Amanda Madden, Professor Michael Minch of Utah Valley State
College, Dr. Louis Borgenicht, Anwar Arafat of Occupation NO! Peace and
Justice for Palestine, and the Reverend Dan Webster of the Episcopal Peace
Fellowship will give five minute speeches at the rally.
